During the annual inspection of the stormwater ponds in the Steeplechase Sub Division it was suggested by the local municipality that all of the woody vegetation be removed from the banks and the waters edge. The root systems of woody vegetation, such as trees and shrubs, tend to destabilize the embankment causing erosion and loss of the beneficial vegetation.
In the fall of 2014 Stormwater Pond Management was contracted to complete the removal of all of the unwanted vegetation.
